Inhalt
Mittlerweile haben sich der spießige, übervorsichtige Brad Whitaker (Will Ferrell) und der ebenso lässige wie draufgängerische Dusty Mayron (Mark Wahlberg) miteinander arrangiert, die beiden ehemaligen Streithähne teilen sich die Aufgabe des Vaters in der gemeinsamen Patchwork-Familie: Brad ist zwar jetzt mit Dustys Exfrau Sara (Linda Cardellini) verheiratet, aber um die drei Kinder kümmern sie sich alle zusammen, was abgesehen von ein paar Sticheleien und Meinungsverschiedenheiten gut funktioniert. Doch der Frieden gerät in Gefahr, als sich über Weihnachten die Väter von Brad und Dusty ankündigen: Mr. Whitaker (John Lithgow) ist sogar noch vorsichtiger und emotionaler als sein Sohn und auch Mr. Mayron (Mel Gibson) stellt seinen Nachwuchs als adrenalinstrotzender Macho locker in den Schatten...
